LT Fish Likes Flicks: Technotise: Edit and I - Serbian DVD Review

This independent Serbian animated film is a very entertaining flick in an excellent budget package.  I cannot recommend it highly enough - particularly since it's available streaming on amazon prime at this time.

LT Fish Likes Flicks: The Man Who Stole the Sun - Japanese DVD Review

A truly excellent nuclear terrorism satire from Japan released in .....1979?  Good grief?  Why did it take me till 2013 to track it down...oh yeah, because it's only on Region 2 Japanese DVD and hasn't been released anywhere else. If you can watch this - definitely worth it.

LT Fish Likes Flicks: The Sword Bearer - Russian DVD Review

The Russians do "Logan" 10 years before "Logan" actually came out.  Dark, disturbing, violent, somewhat fantastic - but extremely well filmed and truly Russian to the core.  Highly recommended.

LT Fish Likes Flicks: Atomik Circus - Thai DVD Review

Nifty little French horror sci-fi, alien invasion flick....for some reason only available with English subtitles from on DVD from Thailand.

DVD Review - "Crying Freeman" - French Region 2 DVD

Good Lord I'm behind on posting updates here - not that I think anyone watches the reviews here and not at yotube, etc...but heck, if this is the only place you check them out, please let me know with a comment.

Great manga adaptation to live-action by Christophe Gans a few years before he hit the big-time with "Le Pacte des Loupes" (also starring Mark Dacascos).

DVD Review - "In China They Eat Dogs" - US Region 1 DVD

This Danish flick is a hilariously black-crime comedy by the excellent director and writer team-up of Lasse Spang Olsen and Anders Thomas Jensen.  Highly recommended - although the metaphysical book-end plot is probably an unnecessarily odd take.  I definitely plan on reviewing the follow-up "prequel" film "Old Men in New Cars" in the future.

DVD Review - "The Piano Tuner of Earthquakes" - US Region 1 DVD

A unique, operatic, dream-like film.  Haunting with shades of melancholy, dread...and stop-motion animation.

Worth checking out as a rental - but a little of a slow-burn.

DVD Review - "Evil Aliens" - German Region 2 DVD

A little belated updating this site, but posted on youtube on schedule.

An entertaining, gory little alien invasion flick: Jake West's "Evil Aliens".

DVD Review - "Jade Warrior" - UK Region 2 DVD

Sooo, some of my technical glitches with youtube appear to have been cleared up a little.  We'll see if things hold.

This is a pretty unique entry - a Finnish/Chinese hybrid fantasy Wuxia flick.  Pretty entertaining and definitely worth a rental, but not as solid in the fight scenes as a more traditional Chinese flick.  Huge points for originality though.

DVD Review - "Before the Devil Knows You're Dead" - US Region 1 DVD

Had a few editing issues this week - slowly getting more comfortable with the software, etc.

Sidney Lumet's final film gets my highest recommendation!

Capsule Review 2 - Violet Crown Cinemas "Summer in Paris"

Since the first capsule review, I've watched another 4 films in the programming series.  All recommended.

Diva (first time view)
Panique (first time view)
Eyes Without a Face (own BR)
Alphaville (own DVD)

Links to all flicks on the YT video page.

DVD Review - "Tears For Sale" - Australian Region 4/2 DVD

A little behind on keeping this blog up to date.  Stand by for a few posts in short order.

Great movie - lousy DVD presentation (my version or identical UK R2/R4 DVD), and sadly no better presentation available with English subtitles right now.  Available via Amazon UK.

Blu-Ray Review: "I Am A Hero" - Korean "A" release

My first review on the channel - a discussion and review of the Japanese zombie movie "I Am A Hero" - based on the Korean special edition blu-ray (Region A coded - viewable on a US player).

Highly recommended!  Why hasn't it come out here?

Intro Video

This was a long time in the works, but it feels great to finally get this project off the ground.

Spinning Up the Motors

Revving the turbines...breaking in the systems....first videos should be up soon.  I've got a ton of great films I'm looking forward to reviewing.

Stay tuned!

LT Fish Likes Flicks: Lemonade Joe - Czech DVD Review

Overdue again, but I think this editing worked out fairly well overall - a little more ambitious, slow progress.  This classy, fun, retro-w...
